Outagamie County Executive Toby Paltzer trusts Roth in WI 8th

Appleton—Outagamie County Executive Toby Paltzer is endorsing state Representative Roger Roth in his bid to unseat Steve Kagen in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.

“We need more leaders in government like Roger who understand that local decisions are best made on the local level,” said Paltzer.  “Roger knows this district, and he knows that his job in Congress will be to listen to the people of northeast Wisconsin so that he can learn from them and lead out in Washington.”

“As county executive, I pay close attention to the state legislature, and Roger has done a tremendous job in Madison over the past four years,” said Paltzer.

Paltzer has served as Outagamie County Executive since 1999.

“Our nation and our region are at a crossroads, and I see it every day as county executive,” said Paltzer.  “Northeast Wisconsin is in desperate need of a real leader who is willing to fight and make the tough decisions, and that is why Roger Roth has my vote and my full support.”

“Everybody from Outagamie County knows that Toby has been a great leader in our community, and I am truly honored to have his backing,” said Roth.

Americans for Legal Immigration endorses Roth in Wisconsin’s 8th CD

Appleton—The Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee (ALIPAC) is endorsing state Representative Roger Roth in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District race.

President of ALIPAC William Gheen said the organization is happy that Roth has “chosen to represent the vast majority of American voters that favor immigration enforcement instead of any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants.”

Roth has always advocated securing our borders and enforcing existing immigration law, and his record in the state legislature proves it.

In the state Assembly, Roth authored legislation to ban sanctuary cities that harbor illegal aliens in Wisconsin, and he fought to ensure that prisoners who are in this country illegally be deported instead of put back on the streets when they are released from jail.

ALIPAC is dedicated to fighting against illegal immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens while seeking a peaceful solution to the crisis that involves Americans of every race, Party, and denomination working together.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of an organization dedicated to stopping the flow of illegal immigrants into this country while recognizing that amnesty is not the answer,” said Roth.

“Because I have always been a strong proponent of securing our borders and I have never supported amnesty, it wouldn’t be surprising if other pro-amnesty groups endorsed those running against me in this race,” said Roth.

Former State Rep. Joe Handrick endorses Roth for Congress in WI 8th

Minocqua—Former state Representative and current Minocqua Town Chairman Joe Handrick has endorsed state Representative Roger Roth in his bid to unseat Steve Kagen in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.

“Northeast Wisconsin thrives on manufacturing, tourism and logging, and Roger has proven to me that he not only understands the needs of the 8th District, but that he will fight for sensible economic, tax and environmental policies that will allow our region to prosper,” said Handrick.

Handrick served three terms in the state Assembly from 1994 to 2000, and he currently serves as the Minocqua Town Chairman.

“While politicians may forget about us up here in the northwoods, Roger has visited this area many times,” said Handrick. “I know that he is one of us and that he will keep our region and our interests in mind with every vote he takes in Washington.”

“Joe Handrick knows northern Wisconsin as well as anybody, and I look forward to fighting alongside him as we work to restore common sense, conservative values to Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District,” said Roth.

State Rep. Jeff Mursau backs Roth for Congress in WI 8th

Crivitz—State Representative Jeff Mursau (R-Crivitz) is endorsing state Representative Roger Roth in his bid to unseat Steve Kagen in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.

“I know that Roger Roth is ready to lead in Washington from day one because I saw him do it in Madison when he was first elected in 2006,” said Mursau.  “Roger came to Madison with core conservative values and a steadfast belief system, and he has stuck to those principles in his four years of service.”

“Roger made two things clear from day one,” said Mursau.  “He wasn’t going to simply fall in line and vote lock step with the majority, and he was going to take care of the people in his district before anything else.”

Mursau was first elected to the State Assembly in 2004, and he is currently serving his third term in office.

“I will vote for Roger Roth because I know that a vote for him is a vote for conservative leadership that can’t be bought or swayed by the special interests or party politics,” said Mursau.

“Jeff Mursau is a true conservative down in Madison, and I am honored to have him by my side in our fight to return common sense, conservative values to Wisconsin’s 8th District,” said Roth.

“Bill Ross has served the 8th District well, and I am honored to have the support of a man who knows what it takes to win and to be successful in northeast Wisconsin,” said Roth.

NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC ENDORSES ROGER ROTH FOR ELECTION TO WISCONSIN 8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

Today, NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC announced their endorsement of  Roger Roth for election to the U. S. Congress from the 8th Congressional District of  Wisconsin.  NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC Chairman, Rear Admiral [Ret.] James J. Carey stated, “Roger Roth has NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC’s full support for election to the U.S. Congress.  He served our country in the Air National Guard, putting himself on the line to defend our nation when called, and is committed to keeping the promises made to our veterans when they agreed to risk their lives to face America’s enemies.  Roger is who we want in Congress making decisions that impact our military veterans and today’s young Americans serving in our Armed Forces.  He, as an Iraq veteran, understands what it takes to train, fight and win.  He also understands the importance of ensuring the decision to commit our military is right before we send our Nation’s most precious asset, our sons and daughters, into harm’s way.”

Roger is a former member of the Wisconsin Air National Guard with four tours to the Middle East during his career.   He was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2006 and won the Republican Primary with 60% of the vote.  He was re-elected in 2008 and is now serving out his second term.  Roger is the ranking member on the Housing Committee, and member of the Assembly Insurance Committee, Law Revision Committee, Elections and Campaign Reform, Special Committee on High Risk Juveniles, and Task Force for preventing home foreclosures.

Admiral Carey stated, “The 8th Congressional District of Wisconsin is home to many military veterans and an equally significant number of men and women, both active duty, guard & reserve, serving in the military today.  They need Roger representing them in Congress.  NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC intends to do all it can to help make that happen”.

Colonel (Ret.) Craig Carlson, National Defense PAC Executive Director, stated, “NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC has earned a reputation for endorsing winning candidates because we back men and women that have proven integrity forged in patriotic selfless military service.  The American people trust our military and vote for our candidates.  Our goal in 2010 is to endorse as many candidates that can meet our standard, and elect them all.”

Appleton business leader Tim Higgins endorses Roth for Congress in WI 8th

Appleton—Appleton business leader Tim Higgins has endorsed state Representative Roger Roth in his bid to unseat Steve Kagen in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.

“Congressman Kagen has supported the disastrous policies of Speaker Nancy Pelosi nearly all of the time,” said Higgins.  “We need someone like Roger Roth who has proven himself as a legislative leader, not a follower, and who has values that are much closer to those of the people of northeast Wisconsin than Kagen’s.”

“I think people sometimes lose sight of the fact that experience makes a difference in politics, just like in every other line of work.  Would anyone seriously consider electing a district attorney who had no legal background?  Roger’s shown he has the ability to work within legislative constraints and still get things done,” said Higgins.

Higgins owns ChiRho Services, a consulting and research business.

“It is time for a new generation of conservative leaders. Roger has owned a small business, served in Iraq and fought for us in the state legislature,” said Higgins.  “He may be younger than most who run for office, but he has made his mark.  He’s the kind of person that younger people can emulate and older people can trust.”

“Tim has served our community for years as a business and civic leader, and I know that with the help of him and others we can restore common sense, conservative leadership to Wisconsin’s 8th District,” said Roth.

State Rep. John Nygren endorses Roth for Congress in WI 8th

Marinette—State Representative John Nygren (R-Marinette) has endorsed state Representative Roger Roth in his bid to unseat Steve Kagen in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.

“Over the past four years, I have come to know Roger as a man of integrity who has always fought for common sense, conservative values while standing up to the special interests and out-of-control spenders in Madison,” said Nygren.

“As a state legislator and small business owner, I understand the importance of keeping spending in line and promoting pro-growth policies.  Roger also knows this because of his small business experience in the construction industry, and he has always championed a pro-growth, pro-jobs agenda in the state Assembly,” Nygren said.

Nygren and Roth have served together in Madison since they were both elected in 2006, and each has remained a conservative voice for their constituents.

“Roger Roth is a true leader with a track record of standing up to the special interests and even his own party if they disagreed on principle.  I support Roger because I trust him, and I know that he will be a conservative voice in Washington from day one,” concluded Nygren.

“John Nygren is a man of principle who always puts the interests of the people he represents first when casting his votes in Madison, and I look forward to fighting alongside him as we work to restore common sense, conservative values to Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District,” said Roth.

“Roger has been my state Representative since 2006, and he has done a tremendous job in the state legislature fighting for the rights of small business owners like myself,” said Yang.

Yang has been a resident of the Fox Valley for almost thirty years, and he has more than a decade of small business experience while serving as a local insurance agent.
